Fight Club: Politics, Law, and Art

This exhibition will open Thursday, Nov. 7, and can be seen in the Visual Studies Gallery at the University at Buffalo north campus until Jan. 25, 2014. The department of visual studies invites you to attend the exhibition’s opening reception on Nov. 7 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The exhibition is curated by Mark Snyder, a second-year Master of Fine Arts student, and will feature works of art by select local, national, and international artists, including the Guerrilla Girls, Michael Beam, Regina José Galindo, Carol Leigh, Annie Sprinkle and Elizabeth Stephens. The exhibition will also feature works by the current visual studies graduate students Patrick Foran and Jennifer Gradecki. According to Snyder, “Each artist in this exhibition produces works that expose invisible power structures and hierarchies, marking them for the public to see and confront.”
