The Niagara Falls Senior Alumni Hockey League, which features players over 50 years of age, recently completed its 33rd year. The league, which is composed of eight teams, plays 120 games on Sunday nights from September to April at Dwyer Arena. This year’s championship game, which was one of the tightest ever, saw the Rangers defeat the Kings 5 to 4, scoring the winning goal with fewer than four minutes on the clock. NU was represented on both teams with Chief Financial & Innovation Officer Bob Morreale captaining the Kings, while Tim Smith from Campus Maintenance and Jack Ampuja from the College of Business were both members of the champion Rangers. Several other players have NU connections through their families.
