NU Theatre Nominated For Several BroadwayWorld Buffalo Awards
Niagara University Theatre’s production of The Drowsy Chaperone has been nominated for three of BroadwayWorld Buffalo’s 2016 theatre awards, including Best Musical.
In addition to the Best Musical nomination, the production’s director, Doug Zschiegner, associate director of NU Theatre, is up for Best Director in a Musical and Alexander Utz is a nominee for Best Actor in a Musical. The Drowsy Chaperone was onstage at NU April 21-May 1.
Niagara University is one of only two colleges included among the professional community in the polling. A number of NU faculty and alumni were also nominated.
