Reminder: Faculty Forum on “Writing Intensive” Courses
The General Education Committee will hold a one-hour faculty forum today, Oct. 9, at 3:40 p.m. in the Academic Complex, Room 220. The purpose of the forum is to continue the conversation on proposed changes to what constitutes a “Writing Intensive” (WI) course. In general, the changes reduce the number of completed pages required by students and provide syllabus guidelines on how to be more explicit about the ways writing development is occurring within the WI courses. If you are interested in learning more or providing feedback, stop by anytime within the scheduled hour.
