The Crossing Borders Conference: March 17-18, 2017

Niagara University will host the Crossing Borders conference, a multi-disciplinary student conference, from March 17-18, 2017. Our conference partners are the Consulate General of Canada, Brock University and the University at Buffalo. The keynote speaker is Dr. Kevin White of SUNY-Oswego, a specialist in Native American and First Nation Peoples’ histories. Undergraduate and graduate students who have worked on a research paper, from a number of fields, either focused on Canada, or comparing aspects of Canada and the United States, are invited to participate. There is no cost for this conference, but interested students must send an abstract of 250 words or less, with title, to the attention of Dr. Shannon Risk, history department, Niagara University, at srisk@niagara.edu or by mail at Dr. S. Risk, history department, P.O. Box 1932, Niagara University (this is the city), NY 14109-1932. Abstracts are due by Feb. 20, 2017.
